Rachel Dumba is currently working as a Partner - Strategy and Human Capital Management at Steadman Global Consulting- a global people management consulting firm with a presence in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Before this, she was Head of HR at Citi Bank’s Uganda unit, DFCU Bank as the HR Learning and Development Manager and later she was promoted to Head of Human Resources. She also worked as the Head of Human Resources at Kenya’s KenolKobil Limited, one of Kenya’s top five downstream oil and gas majors.

Dumba holds a Masters Degree in Strategic Human Resources Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Administration from Makerere University and possesses a Certificate in Strategic Planning from International Development Institute (IDI) Ireland.

Rachel is a strategic HR development and management consultant with “vast experience in review of people, processes and structures within both the private and public sector for small, medium and large organizations as well as government institutions across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.”

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) with a rich hands-on experience in leadership development, designing and implementing competency frameworks, strategy review and implementation, performance management, job evaluation, design of reward systems among other key HR and Business Processes.

Stephen Tio Kauma is the Director & Global Head of Human Resources for the African Export Import bank, based in Cairo, Egypt. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, an MBA from Makerere University, Uganda and a Diploma in HR from Uganda Management Institute. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Certified Institute of Personnel Development, UK (FCIPD-2016). He is a Certified Balanced Scorecard champion (2015); alumni of the INSEAD Leadership Transition programme(2017) and a certified Brain Based Coach of the Neuroscience Institute of Leadership (UK-2020).

As a practicing Organisation Transformation Specialist, he has expertise in the areas of HR, strategy and (early career) financial advisory services. He has worked for African Export Import Bank for the last 10 years. Previous to that, he worked for Lafarge Holcim, Pricewater house Coopers and KPMG. Stephen is an avid golfer and amateur photographer

Shamim, the moderator for this session, is an avid Human Resource specialist who has helped place more than 1,000 employees in companies all over Uganda while working with Q-Sourcing Servtec as Recruitment manager. Shamim holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Limkokwing University, Malaysia, with multiple certifications in Strategic HRM and Training from Uganda Management Institute.

She has over 6 years of experience from working with various companies including Korean Air and NFT Consult, with expertise in the areas of Talent Acquisition and Performance Management.

She has been moderating HRMAU and it's partners' events for the last two years as a member of the HRMAU Governing Council.
